Baking CakePHP 1.3 in Windows 7, Vista

Baking Cake in Windows
I had a hard time trying to figure out how to bake CakePHP in Windows. If you are also having same problem then follow this tutorial and you'll be able to bake! No need to install anything like Cygwin or anything like that. Ok here is how it is done.

GO TO My Computer, right click and then click properties.

Then go to Advanced System Settings->Environment Variables

Select Path on System variables group, click Edit and then append the following line at the end not replace what is already there!
;C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5;C:\wamp\www\cake\cake\console

Remember that semicolon at the beginning! Don’t miss it.
Click OK.
Now on Command Prompt goto your Cake App directory.
CD c:\wamp\www\cake\app\
If the database configuration isn’t present then you’ll get the following screen. Enter your database settings here.

After entering database information, you’ll get the following screen and you’re ready to Bake.

Now its time to Bake the Cake!.
